Ingredients
- 1/3 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 small red cabbage, hard core removed, finely shredded
- 4 shallots, trimmed, sliced
- 100g snow pea sprouts, trimmed
- 2 carrots, peeled, cut into matchsticks
- 2 cups bean sprouts, trimmed
- Blue eye trevalla with kecap manis & ginger (see related recipe), to serve
Method
Step 1
Cook sesame seeds in a frying pan over a medium heat, tossing until toasted and golden. Set aside to cool. Alternately, toast the sesame seeds in the microwave. Place on a microwave-safe plate on Medium/50% power.
Step 2
Combine red cabbage, shallots, snow pea sprouts, carrots and bean sprouts in a large serving bowl.
Step 3
Add the toasted sesame seeds to the salad. Toss until well combined. Serve with the fish (see related recipe) and ginger and chilli dressing.
